Greater Industries Privacy Policy

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes the data that Greater Industries Labs Inc. (“Company”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”) collects through the Greater app for smartphones and tablets and the Greater cloud hosted software platform (collectively the “Greater Software”). All Personal Information (defined below) collected through the Greater Software is collected solely on behalf of our customers. Accordingly, please contact the relevant customer (e.g., your employer, if you are an employee of a Company customer) for more information about their privacy practices as to the Personal Information collected through or in connection with the Greater Software. We are not responsible for the privacy or data security practices of our customers, which may differ from those set forth in this privacy policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE COLLECT IT

We collect information from and about users of the Greater Software. This information includes Personal Information. “Personal Information” is information by which you may be personally identified, such as your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, driver’s license number or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline. We collect information as follows:

• Information you provide directly. We may collect Personal Information that you provide directly, such as when you access the Greater Software or administer a user account. This information includes name, email address, user ID, and Personal Information contained within in-app messages.
• Data provided by your employer. Your employer may input certain information into the Greater Software, such as employee ID numbers and user ID numbers.
• Information we collect automatically. We may automatically collect information about your use of the Greater Software as well as information about the device you are using to access the Greater Software such as device identifiers, device type, and device operating system. Additionally, we collect approximate or precise location data during your use of the Greater Software.
• Non-Personal Information. We also collect some non-Personal Information about Greater Software performance such as crash logs, diagnostics, and other app-performance related analytics data.

2. HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect and use this information for legitimate business purposes relating to the Greater Software and pursuant to our customers’ directions, including:

• App functionality. We collect and use your information to provide the features that are available in the Greater Software, including but not limited to scanning goods, wholesale ordering, and mobile device management. We also collect and use this data to authenticate Greater Software users.
• Analytics. We collect and use your information to gain insights into how the Greater Software performs. For example, we may use this data to monitor Greater Software health, diagnose and fix bugs or crashes, or to make future Greater Software performance improvements.
• Fraud prevention, security, and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. We may, for example, use your information to monitor login attempts to identify possible fraudulent activity or to respond to court orders, subpoenas or other legal processes with which Company is required to comply.
• Account management. We collect and use your Information to set up and manage Greater Software user accounts.
• Aggregated Information. We may aggregate Personal Information so that it can no longer identify an individual and use the aggregated information to analyze the effectiveness of our Services, to improve and add features to our Services, and for other similar purposes.

3. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not sell or share the Personal Information collected through the Greater Software. However, there are a few circumstances in which we may disclose or transfer this data, including:

• to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets;
• to our subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, and contractors as well as the service providers we use to support our business and/or collaborate with (e.g., our subprocessors), provided they are bound by contractual obligations to keep such Personal Information confidential and only use it for the purposes of providing the services;
• to comply with any court order, law or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request;
• to enforce or apply our Terms of Service and/or any other agreement that governs the sale, use or purchases of our products and/or services; and
• to protect the rights, property or security of Company, our employees, our users and/or others.

4. ONWARD TRANSFER OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Regardless of where you use the Greater Software or provide information to us, the information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located inside and outside the U.S., including to countries outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). By using the Greater Software you acknowledge, agree and consent to your information, including your Personal Information, being processed in various countries, including in countries and jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of protection. Such transfers will only take place for the specific purposes mentioned in this Privacy Policy.

5. SECURITY AND DATA RETENTION

Data retention. To the extent we do retain Personal Information collected through the Greater Software, we will retain said data only for as long as necessary to follow our customers’ instructions or to comply with legal, regulatory or internal policy requirements.

Data security. We have implemented measures designed to secure your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. The safety and security of your Personal Information also depends on you. Where we or your employer have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of the Greater Software, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted to the Greater Software. Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Greater Software.

6. OUR POLICY TOWARD MINORS

The Greater Software is not directed to minors under 16 and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors, nor do we sell or share such Personal Information. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 16 has provided Personal Information to us through the Greater Software please contact us and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases

7. DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS, AND HOW TO EXERCISE

You may have a right to know what Personal Information we have collected about you and you may have a right to access and to obtain a copy of this Personal Information as processed by us from a Company customer. If you believe that any Personal Information we collected about you is incorrect or incomplete you may also request the correction of it by a Company customer. You may also have the right to:

• Object to the processing of your Personal Information;
• Request the deletion of your Personal Information;
• Request a restriction of the processing of your Personal Information;
• Transfer your data to another controller; and/or
• Withdraw your consent where a Company customer obtained your consent to instruct Company to process Personal Information (without this withdrawal affecting the lawfulness of any processing that took place prior to the withdrawal).

Please contact the relevant controlling customer (e.g., your employer, if you are an employee of a Company customer) to exercise these rights. Alternatively, you may also reach out to us at [email protected]. To the extent you do email [email protected], please specify exactly the relevant controlling customer such that we can forward the request on to them to handle accordingly. An authorized agent can also exercise these rights on your behalf.

8. UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may make changes to this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements and other factors. If we make changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” legend at the top of the privacy policy and we may provide additional notice in the Greater Software.
